All People Might Think Courage Comes From A Liquid Form...

Some people might think courage comes in a liquid form called alcohol. Which in some aspects it s true; people tend to do things they wouldn t normally do when they are drunk because it lowers their inhibitions. To me, courage is made up of believing in one s self despite the fear, and forming the strength to do something. When I hear the word courage, I automatically associate it with the word fear. Fear is a very uneasy word. It s more than a word, it s like an invisible monster that is staring you down, fangs and all. Fear can be there too, when you make decisions. I believe it takes courage to make good decisions and to overcome fear. There have been many instances in my life where the fear monster has stared me down or hides in the dark corner of my mind, menacing me every chance it gets. It tells me things like, you will never be good enough or something bad will happen if you take a chance. Every time I try to plant some seeds of courage, by telling myself everything is going to be ok and you can do this, fear swoops in and washes them all away. Fear has been the negative force in my life, effecting a lot of important decisions I ve had to make. There was a moment in my life where I was able to gather the courage to forge through the fear and decided to go back to college.
